QUICK ANALYSIS

Longhorn fans are beyond restless. All hype and no follow-through - that's been the season-ending mantra ever since Mack Brown has taken over in Austin. These fans long for a title and Mack had best deliver soon. The good news is the future at QB, for they've found Vince Young, but whom will he throw, and can he avoid that sophomore slump? The 'Horns send their top receivers on to other pastures and will need to find some deep threats to keep RB Cedric Benson on track. The good news is that Texas has depth accompanying 14 returning starters (seven on each side), but that's been true for a few title-less campaigns. It doesn't matter what they bring to the table; if they want to play for later, they have get past the Sooners.
