These receivers are far superior to

Only
one starter with experience returns
to the secondary lineup (William Gay).
The losses are heavy and if opponents
are to keep up with this high scoring
offense, expect them to throw the

* DEPTH CHARTS were only designed as a simplistic
gauge for listing players that departed and players that
received the most playing experience (consistent starters).
NationalChamps.net recognizes the importance of missing
personnel data not listed such as redshirts, transfers,
injuries, incoming recruits, back ups and alternates.
Their coverage will begin with our full 2005 Preseason
Preview due out this coming spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS
|
When
thinking of the hottest coaches on demand, Bobby
Petrino, in just his second year, is no stranger
to the list. Watching the Cards perform offensively
this past fall was something to behold. The starting
focus to any discussion about 2005 Louisville
begins at QB where the highly touted Brian Brohm
is replacing Stefan LeFors and his 75% completion
rate. A local boy from nearby Trinity High School,
Brohm was named the USA Today National Offensive
Player of the Year and was one of the top recruits
to ever sign at Louisville. With that said, we
saw glimpses of his promise in a tight fourth
quarter on the road at Miami with the game on
the line as he replaced a weary LeFors. He's proved
that he's got the guts to match his potential
greatness. Between Clark, Tinch and Jones, no
QB could ask for a better set of receivers. The
defense severely lacks an all-American type(s),
so much so that picking a 'defensive star' (as
seen above) was difficult. Louisville joins the
Big East officially in 2005. Louisville will be
the favorite to win the conference. That will
become official in August.
