Receiver / Defensive Line

After some poor aerial stats there is only one logical direction for the Stanford passing attack to go and that is up. Everybody is back at receiver and with the turnover of offensive linemen/running backs coaches will be required to lean on the pass a little more. An extremely stingy run defense has an all-senior front suiting up on the defensive line. Parry, Anderson and Lueders will be counted on to lead this defense.

Running Back / Offensive Line

Gone are the top two rushers, Gaffney and Wilkerson, and a dependable fullback in Hewitt. Don't look now but here comes Barry Sanders Jr. All of the sudden his role becomes crucial after only toting the rock five times this past season. Remound Wright is the most experienced but for Stanford to continue to remain at the top of the conference these two have to grasp the spotlight and run with it. Stanford has become famous for recruiting the nation's best offensive linemen. The power running game is what has defined recent success. The Cardinal lost some big time blockers to the NFL Draft. Can the stars from these great recruiting classes pay off now?
