Coach Art Briles' system works. Plug and play almost anyone into this No. 1 ranked offense and it seemingly rolls on as evident in Baylor's big bowl victory over North Carolina with most of their offensive stars injured. The top two quarterbacks missed parts of this past season. Both Russell and Stidham should be ready to go for next fall and compete with Heisman passing numbers. There may be no better 1-2 running back punch in the nation with Linwood and Jefferson. The problem is an offensive line that will be almost completely gutted while the defensive front goes through a similar overhaul. If Baylor can square up the line of scrimmage, the scoreboard sparks will continue to keep the Bears in playoff discussions.
