Listed below are some of the web sites that have enabled me to complete the "Helmet Project" to its current extent, and some other web sites that I recommend just because they are really good.
Mike Stanhope's NFL Helmet Page has photographs of nearly all NFL teams' former helmets going back several decades. The photographs, along with an excellent NFL/AFL Helmet History Excel Spreadsheet (available from the site) were the foundation of the NFL helmet image section at this web site.
The 1994 NFL Throwback Helmets Page is an interesting site regarding the special helmets used by many of the NFL teams during the league's 75th anniversary season.
The Sports Logo Directory features lots of high-quality, uniform-sized sports logos.
While the colleges and professional leagues that I have started present me with more than enough helmets to work on, several people have written to say that they are taking up the task of documenting high school helmets from their home states in a format similar to that used at this web site. If you have started such a site, please send me the address of your site, so that I may add it to the list below. I do not have any of the content from these high school sites! If the site has shut down, I cannot provide any of its former helmet images, sorry! Here are a few known high school helmet sites:

"Helmets, Helmets, Helmets" is a web site featuring graphic images of football helmets in a format similar to those used at this site, but somewhat larger. If you are looking for information about the NIFL, PIFL, women's leagues, etc., you should look here.
"The Fantasy Helmet Project" - the site's creator offers to design "custom banners, sigs, players jerseys, logos, game day tickets and more" in addition to helmets, for free.
College Animated Flags Little wavy flag animated .gifs representing all the I-A colleges.
