North Carolina Central will be a new member of this conference in 2010.
Norfolk State added a logo to its helmets in 2009. Below is the clearest photo I have received of the new design - please note that the logo worn on the helmet is somewhat different from the logo that many people have sent me (look closely at the top of the two "spartan helmets" within the logo on the football helmet).
Bethune-Cookman also had a new helmet design in 2009 (shown above).

During the mid-1990s, NCCU was using silver helmets with maroon faceguards and the team name "Eagles" on the sides of the helmets, in cursive, maroon letters.
In 2002, NCCU was using a silver and/or white "flying eagle" decal, as shown in the photograph below. I would appreciate a copy of this logo so that I may add this helmet to the web site.

I received a report in 2005 of a possible change for this team since the 2004 season; specifically it was suggested that the middle stripe on the helmets may have been made a darker color. I would appreciate some clear photographs from 2004 or earlier to compare with ones from the 2005 season.
