COMMENTS

Most of the helmet information I have for this conference is pretty old, so some of these teams may have switched to different designs by now. There is presently an undated photograph at Springfield's web site showing a maroon helmet with a logo consisting of the word "Pride" in white; this certainly may be a new-for-2002 helmet design that nobody had reported to me, or perhaps it is an older design. I would appreciate any information about what helmet design Springfield was using in 2002.

Plymouth State is apparently using a new helmet design in 2003 (shown above). I am not certain that this design was not in use last year also, though.

2003 will be the final season for this conference. Coast Guard, Kings Point, and Worcester Tech will enter the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2004; Western Connecticut will join the New Jersey Athletic Conference for football only in 2004, Norwich and Springfield will move to the Empire 8 Athletic Conference, and I do not know what Plymouth State's plans are at this point.
