Comments
This conference operated for the first time in 2011, with Ouachita Baptist winning the inaugural conference championship. Southern Nazarene will be a new member of the conference in 2012.
Arkansas-Monticello was the only team reported to be using a new helmet design in 2011.

Assuming that the school colors have not changed, Arkansas-Monticello apparently switched between white and green helmets more than once in the 1960s and 1970s. The white helmets had numerals on the sides during some years.
Two interesting old helmet logos worn on what were apparently white helmets (or perhaps gray on the second one) are visible in the photographs below. The first, from about 1975, shows an oval-shape (green?) containing the team name "BOLL WEEVILS"; the second shows a "UAM" logo with "BOLL WEEVILS" across the middle in much smaller letters. I would very much appreciate clearer photos of these two, especially color photos so as to verify the expected green color.
Another logo, an "A" perhaps with "BOLL WEEVILS" across its middle bar, is visible in the photograph below from about 1995:

During at least the 1993 and 1995 seasons, Arkansas Tech used white helmets with a logo consisting of the letters "ATU" in a color described as "light green". The "T" was larger than the other letters. This is the only earlier helmet for this team for which I have received any information.

From 1994 through 1996, Henderson State reportedly used red helmets with gray facemasks and with the team name "Reddies" in black letters on the sides, and from 1989 through 1993 the helmets were plain red with gray facemasks. I would appreciate photographs of these and other historical helmets for this team.

I have never received any information about earlier helmet designs used by Southern Arkansas, though the team's history extends throughout the period covered by this web site.
