COMMENTS
Central Washington, Nebraska-Omaha, and Saint Cloud State are using new helmet designs in 2007 (shown above). The report I received earlier from Augustana indicating that the team would be using a new helmet logo in 2007 appears to have been false - the clearest photographs that I have received appear to show no difference between the 2007 and 2006 helmet logos for this team.
I would appreciate information about other historical helmet designs used by these teams (from 1960 to present); I have not gotten much information for any of these teams except for North Dakota. Most of these teams should have lengthy helmet histories.

From 1995 through 1998, MSU used an "MSU" logo, as shown in the photograph here; the letters were gold, and the helmet shell and facemasks were purple. A similar design was used from 1988 through 1994, but the facemasks were gold during those years.

Three earlier helmets for which I have received partial information are visible in the photographs below:
Helmet A was used in the late 1960s when the college was known as the University of Omaha and the team nickname was Indians. I believe that I had a color photograph of this one at one time, but I apparently lost it in one of the several hard drive failures that I have experienced. The helmet is red and the logo is a cartoonish "Indian head".
B is supposedly from about 1977 or 1978 and the helmet is probably red with an "arrowhead" logo of some sort. Clearer photos of this one would be appreciated.
C shows a black helmet that UNO used from about 1989 through 1993 (or through 1995, according to another report). The logo is apparently similar to the one used on the "c.1980s" helmet shown above.

During at least part of the 1999 season, South Dakota used a white, script "Coyotes" logo, narrowly outlined in some dark color, on red helmets with white facemasks; I would appreciate a copy of that "Coyotes" logo.
I have received a copy of what is said to be a helmet logo used by USD in 1991 and during the 1970s; the logo is a rather simple, white "U" which was worn on red helmet shells. I would appreciate photographs of this helmet.
