Comments

Saint Anselm and Southern Connecticut State are using new helmet designs in 2011 (shown above).

Assumption was using a new helmet design in 2010. The team used gray or silver helmets with a logo consisting of the word "Hounds" (photo below). I will need a copy of the new helmet logo in order to add this one to the web site.

*1 During at least the 2006 season, a rather small blue "A" decal was worn on the back of this helmet, not visible from the view I use at this web site. This may have been used - and gone unreported to this web site - during earlier seasons, also.

According to a report that I received, Bentley used a somewhat different helmet logo in 2001 than what was used in 2002; I believe the 2001 logo was a "flying falcon" of some sort with upraised wings. I would appreciate some clear photographs from the 2001 season. A third different logo may have been used since the team last used plain blue helmets, but I am very unsure about this.

New Haven did not have a football team from 2004 through 2008.

*1 This design was in use at least as early as 1999 or 2000.

The team nickname was changed from "Chieftains" to "Skyhawks" prior to the 2005 season.

*1 Apparently beginning with the 2008 season, the "S" logo worn on the left side of the helmets was flipped horizontally, making the "S" on this side backwards.
