Welcome to the NationalChamps.net 2002 Preseason Strength of Schedule rankings. The formula used to obtain these results is fairly simple. The rankings are based off of who each team plays and where they are ranked in the NationalChamps.net Preseason Poll. Although arguments can be made that the NationalChamps.net Poll is not the standard with all of the Preseason Polls that exist, it can also be said that the differences are marginal when percentages are used, which in essence is what the formula attempts to control. In other words, using another poll would not necessarily mean a large jump or drop for certain teams. Several factors have been considered and here is what the numbers spit out:
